Volunteering
Taste of Muskegon is only possible thanks to great volunteers like you! Volunteers are vital to the event's success through helpful and enthusiastic visitor contact. We are looking for friendly people looking to help out a great cause.
Volunteering doesn't always have to just be about giving, each of our volunteers also receive:
- An official Taste of Muskegon event t-shirt
- Non-alcoholic beverages during your shift
- Food tickets for use after your shift
Volunteer Positions and Responsibilities
Volunteer Relations
- Check-in/out volunteers for each shift
- Assigning volunteer positions
- Provide assistance to volunteers as needed
- Supply & collect visitor surveys
Ticket Sales
- Staff ticket booths for ticket sales
- Walk around festival selling tickets
- Handle money and tickets
Friends of the Festival
- Welcoming and assisting festival visitors
- Performing visitor surveys throughout event
- Keep alcohol in Taste Garden
- Vendor relations and assistance

Beer/Wine Servers in Taste Garden
- Serve sample portions of beer/wine to patrons
- Ensure those drinking are wearing wristbands
Car Show Staff (Sunday only)
- Register vehicles for show
- Direct parking traffic
- Direct exiting traffic
- Assist children on and off inflatables
- Keep children in Kids' Area
- Help with arts and crafts
